Heralding a new level of sleek styling, high-performance and top speeds, the S78 motor yacht from Princess Yachts remains in high demand. Introduced to the S Class range in 2019, the 24.66 metre S78 combines the sporty profile of a sport cruiser with the practicality of Princess iconic flybridges into a single, luxurious yet powerful vessel.
The Princess S78 lean profile includes a large flybridge that can comfortably seat twelve people and a large sunroof which provides natural light and fresh air. With a hull form that is optimised for greater lift and less drag, causing lower planning speeds and higher efficiency, she retains her sporty yet distinctively cool design. Featuring a number of innovative designs, this includes a single stairway from the transom platform to the main deck aft, which frees up space by the stern to house a 4.45-metre tender garage.
The deck aft is spacious for a yacht her size and includes two sunpads and sofas, which can be configured into whichever arrangement suits her owners best – for lounging, entertaining or dining. All of her modern interior design and furniture, made from premium materials, is done by Princess. The flexibility of the deck aft continues inside the main saloon with the furniture that slides and is convertible, with extra storage space under the main saloon sofa. Huge windows on either side offer sweeping views of the surroundings, while low bulwarks enhance the views from the inside. The galley is on display in the main saloon behind a bar, with windows that can be opened to create a wraparound aft deck bar. Her dining area also provides a sense of versatile space with an ingenious sliding glass table. The flexible cockpit includes sliding seating, providing many different options for entertaining while enhancing the feeling of openness throughout the main deck.
The lower deck is dedicated to her accommodation and includes a stunning amidships owner’s suite that spans across her full 5.76-metre beam. Featuring its own private entrance via stairs opposite the helm, the spacious suite includes a seating area, a walk-in wardrobe with a dressing area and ensuite bathroom with his and her sinks. Two additional double ensuite cabins, located on the bow and starboard and a twin ensuite cabin bring the total number of overnight guests to eight, which is impressive for a yacht her size. Aft on the lower deck, crew quarters can accommodate two, or the berths can also be turned into a children’s room.
The flybridge remains another key relaxation and social space on the S78. The split foredeck area offers seating and room for al fresco dining with a L-shaped sofa and barbecue right behind the upper helm position. Seating on either side ensures the area remains open to all. However, for those looking to relax in privacy, then the foredeck with a sunpad and curved sofa is the place to unwind in seclusion. Powered by twin MAN 1,900hp V12 engines and with a top speed of 39 knots, she is the ideal compact motor yacht for jetting from island to island, whether she is in the Caribbean or Mediterranean or the USA.
